Bart Vanden Driessche and Lieven Nijs are the founding partners of BLAF
architecten and started working together in 2003.
Lieven teaches in architecture design at the University of Gent, Belgium – architecture studios and elective courses in brick design BLAF’s work is often referred to as significant in terms of sustainable design. The architects themselves feel they are part of the generation that needs to make a switch from single home based practice towards a more collective mindset. For BLAF this switch has to be well informed by mastering the construction and the project process.
