Donatella Fioretti

born in 1962 in in Savona, Italien, graduated in 1990 with a Master in Architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV).
In 1995, she founded Bruno Fioretti Marquez together with Piero Bruno and José Gutierrez Marquez in Berlin, in 2010 a branch office was opened in Lugano, Switzerland.
Bruno Fioretti Marquez has won numerous prizes in national and international competitions.
Main focus in the work of Bruno Fioretti Marquez are cultural buildings, particularly in the context of UNESCO World Heritage sites as well as residential and educational buildings.
The work of Bruno Fioretti Marquez has been presented in different exhibitions and has been published in a wide range of specialist literature.
Bruno Fioretti Marquez has won awards and citations for design excellence, among them the Detail Special Award, the Hugo Häring Award, DAM Award for Architecture in Germany, Deutscher Brick Award.
Since 1996, she works as a teacher and has developped along with the work as an architect firstly through lectures, workshops and summer academies at various universities in Europe and America and then as a research assistant and visiting professor at the Technische Universität in Berlin.
In 2011, Donatella Fioretti was appointed as Full Professor at the Technische Universität in Berlin for Design and Construction. In 2017, she was appointed as Full Professor at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf.
